The Mess

So the plumbing mess is at a standstill right now. Workers took out the parts of the floor that were wet and now we're waiting for the estimates and exactly what work will be done to restore everything to it's original state. It's awkward being in the house with part of the floors tore up. No matter how much I sweep or clean it always seems to be spreading. There's this sawdust that's every where. It's making me nuts. All the wood floors will have to be replaced and most of the carpeting downstairs too. All of my kitchen cabinets will have to come out as well. They tell me it will take about a month to get it all done.

We live in a very old house with plaster walls. Any kind of renovation work makes this horrible plaster dust throughout the house. Reaalllllyyyyy hate it! It's not always worth the mess either. :-) I feel your pain even though we've never had such extensive damage. But the "renovation" feeling is the same. BLEH!
